Thank you for choosing Atlas Metal. A little routine care will help your hot pan perform properly, protect its finish and preserve your warranty coverage.

Before First Use

Before installing or operating your equipment, please read the service and installation manual completely. When receiving the unit, inspect the shipping crate and equipment right away. If damage is visible or concealed, notify the carrier and request an inspection within 10 days of receipt. Be sure to save all crating materials until the inspection has been completed or waived.

Daily Cleaning Instructions

After use, clean the pans with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap and residue, then dry completely before the unit is returned to service or stored.

To protect the stainless steel finish, do not use:

  • Chloride-based cleaners
  • All-purpose cleaners
  • Bleach
  • Acidic cleaners
  • Vinegar-based products
  • Steel wool
  • Abrasive pads or abrasive cleaning products

Improper cleaners can scar, mark or corrode the pans, and failure to follow these cleaning instructions may void the warranty.

Operating Reminder

During operation, the unit must be used with water, and the thermostat should be set to position #10 during heat-up. For wet operation, close the drain valves, fill the unit with water, cover the wells, allow the unit to heat, then lower the thermostat to the desired temperature. Check the water level every two hours.

Automatic Water Fill Units

If your unit includes automatic water fill, Atlas recommends using a water filtration kit or whole-house water filtration system to help protect sensitive components such as the float switch, solenoid valve and back-flow prevention valve. Hard water contaminants can build up in these components and may affect performance or cause leaks.

Do not manually add water above the water-level mark on auto-fill units. If the orange warning light turns on, turn off the unit and check that the auto-fill system is working properly. The auto-fill should be turned off when not in use.
